IF- Myth

The word for Illustration Friday this week was “myth”.

I have been feeling hatred toward everything I draw lately –maybe it’s because for 4 weeks I’ve been working like a mad woman on “12DAYS”.

In any case, I’m not feeling all warm and  fuzzy about what I’m posting. However, it does give me a little bit of chuckle, which is why I decided to share it.

So I chose the most obvious myth ever, a duh, The myth of the watermelon seed-  According to ancient legend, your friends at school, and/or Rugrats (if you were watching Nickelodeon in the 90′s like I was), If you eat the seeds of a watermelon, the plant will sprout and you’ll grow a watermelon in your stomach .

This is me, eating a watermelon seed.

…ah, I miss summer. and sandals.

In other news, I completely wrecked one of my screens this past week when a T-square fell off my desk and sliced the screen. Needlesstosay, I was extremely upset (on the floor, hollering “no!”) . However, I ordered 3 new screens that should come by the end of the week (and I got silver and gold ink, so excited to try them out). I also want to screen printing some fruit, which I’ve been putting off for a long while now.
